DON GIORGIO

CEO / President

Don Giorgio founded UNMB Home Loans Inc. (UNMB) along with his father and has been the driving force behind the company’s ascent to one of the nation’s most established lenders. Don’s focused leadership, eye on innovation and an unwavering commitment to responsible lending and outstanding client service has helped the company achieve impressive growth.

Mr. Giorgio’s vision and ability to anticipate and interpret industry trends has kept UNMB Home Loans Inc. at the forefront of emerging markets and technologies. UNMB was one of the first independent NY metro area lenders to become a government-endorsed FHA Lender.

Mr. Giorgio created the company’s Senior Security Advisors lending division which provides services and information to the senior market, including Reverse Mortgages. UNMB Home Loans Inc. has consistently been recognized as a top Reverse Mortgage lender in the country.

Mr. Giorgio’s 38 years of experience and knowledge in mortgage banking as well as his hands-on management style make him an invaluable leader through which the UNMB Home Loans Inc. staff learn and grow. Most importantly, Mr. Giorgio is highly ethical and compassionate, a reason why UNMB Home Loans Inc. enjoys an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, has strong ties to the community through charitable endeavors and has a highly loyal staff, many of whom have been with the company for decades.

Mr. Giorgio is an award-winning equestrian and enjoys spending time with his two dogs Brioso and Riley.

SHARON SABBA FIERSTEIN

Chief Financial Officer

Sharon Sabba Fierstein, CPA is the Chief Financial Officer at UNMB. Sharon is responsible for UNMB’s accounting and financial planning in her role as CFO. She is a member of the Leadership Committee which directs strategic planning and development to guide the future direction of the company. Sharon is also responsible for Secondary Marketing and Human Resources.

Sharon has been with the company since March 2022 but has over 40 years of experience as a CPA and over 30 years of experience in mortgage banking. She and her husband live in Woodbury, NY, only 20 minutes from UNMB’s corporate office. She is the mother of grown twin daughters, both of whom are married.

MICHAEL P. GANNON

Chief Sales Officer

Michael P. Gannon oversees and supports the company’s growing salesforce as Chief Sales Officer. Michael is an action-oriented individual who believes we have a responsibility to our clients, business partners and team members for responsible lending, communication and quick processing and approval of loans.

Michael has been in mortgage finance for over 11 years, rising from licensed mortgage loan originator to team leader prior to his current position. At UNMB Home Loans Inc. he uses the leadership, communication and team-building skills he developed in his previous career as a high school teacher and coach.

Michael is also an expert in all loan program guidelines, providing valuable insight and guidance to his staff on how to structure their loans to provide clients with the best lending program to satisfy their goals.

Michael and his wife are doting parents an adorable boy and girl, both under the age of three. Aside from work and the hectic life of a parent, Michael is an avid sports enthusiast.

CRISTINA VAZQUEZ

Secondary Marketing – Rate Lock Manager

Cristina Vazquez is Secondary Marketing – Rate Lock Manager at UNMB Home Loans Inc. She is responsible for overseeing all locking of rates in the secondary market to secure our customers with optimal rates as they progress to closing on their loan while ensuring profitability for UNMB.. Cristina’s rate lock responsibilities cover both the company’s significant forward and reverse mortgage platforms.

Cristina has been with our company for 22 years, holding positions in processing, DE underwriting as well as internal quality control and was instrumental in helping build and oversee our successful reverse mortgage program. Cristina is also a licensed mortgage loan originator.

Cristina and her husband are proud parents of an adolescent son who excels in academics. Cristina enjoys travel, reading and spending time with her family which includes her dog Chocco and cat Gracie, adopted from a shelter.

JOEL SANDERS

Director of Marketing & Communications

Joel Sanders is Director of Marketing and Communications at UNMB Home Loans Inc. He leads the team responsible for all marketing at UNMB as well as all internal and external communications at our Company.

Joel has helped UNMB stand out with inviting and informative marketing initiatives that help guide our clients through the mortgage process in an informed and stress-free manner.

Joel lives in New York City. In his free time he enjoys exploring NYC as well as other cities. He is an avid traveler, having visited 5 continents / 29 countries / 43 cities outside the U.S. Joel also enjoys photography and is an advocate for foster children awaiting adoption.

SIMON ROSENZWEIG

Director of Secondary Marketing

As Director of Secondary Marketing, Simon Rosenzweig’s focus at UNMB Home Loans Inc. is Secondary Marketing. His expertise in secondary marketing includes managing investor relationships, pricing, risk analytics and trading.

Simon has been with us for eight years and in mortgage finance for 28 years. He has worked with government, agency and privately held investors using several sources of risk management strategies. He provides invaluable experience in applying the company’s competitive pricing strategy, minimizing risk exposure, and maximizing trade execution.

Simon and his wife have four young children. Aside from work, Simon enjoys staying active by traveling, golfing and various other activities.
